Hello Experts,
we are using asterisk for paging announcement purpose. we have ios/andriod application as end users and trying to register extensions to asterisk.
When paging initiated from one application(extension) it can reach to all extensions, part of page group.
The extensions which are offline(if respective application is in sleep or running background, extension at asterisk showing as offline) will not listen announcement.
But in emergency, we have to play announcement at offline users also.
For that we decided to stream the paging announcement to streaming server(lets say icecast) using ices function in asterisk.From icecast
link ios/android applications which in sleep/running background can listen the announcement.
We are able to stream the call conversation between one extension to another using icecast but we are not aware how to stream the paging channel to oustside(icecast).
We are ready to take support from you to fulfill this requirement
